Gourmet Goods To You.Com is a family affair. It all started with myself, Elizabeth, but soon became a passion of the whole family. It wasn’t long before my husband Stephen jumped on board.
I’d like to tell you a little about my family. I used to be a Senior Buyer for an audio company here in Silicon Valley and worked in the manufacturing industry for 9 years. One day I decided that I needed a change. I had always wanted to start my own business and I love traveling, pets, and food. I started my own pet sitting and dog walking service. I call my company Pawsitively Purrfect Pet and Homecare Service. It is a very rewarding profession. The animals are always happy to see you, and the moms and dads appreciate our care a great deal. Pawsitively Purrfect gave me the chance to try my business savvy and see if I liked being my own boss.
Stephen is a Professional Salesperson with over 15 years of sales experience. He is my partner in all of my businesses. We work together everyday on our businesses and on our major remodel project, “Home sweet Home”. For the past 2 years we have been “contractors” on our home in Grass Valley, CA doing almost all of the work ourselves. We work very well together and we look forward to taking Gourmet Goods To You.Com to the next level.
Here’s how we got here: In 1994 we made our maiden voyage to Europe. We visited 9 countries in 7 weeks from London to Rome and from Salzburg to Dublin. Having the opportunity to spend this amount of time gave us the chance to sample many local foods, goods and cultures. Upon returning from our trip we decided that we needed to start a business that would incorporate our love of travel and of the finer things.
We spent the next four years working Pawsitively Purrfect and tossing around ideas for Gourmet Goods To You. In 1998 Stephen and I went to Paris, Belgium, Austria and Germany on our first buying trip. This trip gave us the foundation of what we want Gourmet Goods To You.Com to become. We shopped and ate till we dropped especially in the "City of Light" Grand Paris.
We love to meet new people and learn about their cuisine and goods. Gourmet Goods To You.Com gives us the chance to do this for you and ourselves.
